OAHU 2005

Aloha! Well Jackie and I have had a very nice day here in paradise. The weather has been great! Jackie spent most of the morning playing with her flowers. It's always fascinated me the way she can take a pair of clippers to a plant and when she is finished she still has a plant to look at. Not me...every time I've attempted the same thing we have had to replant. That may be why Jackie has always hidden the pruners and only allowed me to use them if she is there to supervise! While Jackie was working in the garden I was watching tv. There was a ton of football to watch and even managed to catch some of the truck race during commercials and halftime. Not sure how many of you saw the Washington/BYU game. It was a very good game...just wish they could have done something to correct that lousy judgement call made at the end. I have never understood why that penalty is 15 yards and not 5 yards. I mean aren't most 15 yard penalties there to protect the players from getting hurt? Late hit, illegal block, facemask and things like that. Just wish they could have taken that game into over time and let the teams decide the game and not the refs. The Washington state/Cal game was listed on my tv guide to start at one so I went out to help Jackie finish up in the garden so we could both watch the game. We came in a little early so we were watching the end of another game waiting for the Cougs to start at one. We changed the channel and the Cougs were all ready down 14 zip. I was a little upset that I had missed the start of the game but after watching the Cougs play decided it would have been better if I would have waited even longer to change the channel. It was 49 to 3 when I rolled over and took a nap and that was in the 3rd quarter! Not sure what the final score was but you can bet Jerry or Zack will let me know! Jackie put the little slideshow of our trip to Oahu together while I was napping. Hope you all like it.
