Aloha! Well its been another glorious day here on Kauai...the temperature in the low 80's and light trades. We have spent the day thinking about things we want to do during Mom and Dad's visit. We want to show them everything our little island has to offer but we don't want to wear them out with too much stuff crammed into a day! We have found one of Kauai's biggest assets is its a great place to just relax and talk story and we definitely plan on doing a lot of that! As you can see from the video, Jackie and I harvested another bunch of bananas today. We still have over half of the other bunch left so we are going to need a lot of help eating them up. You know, if you are not real busy Jaynee, maybe you can come on over and bake some of your delicious banana bread! I'm sure we can bake enough for everyone...just a thought!

What happened to the poor tree? Do you have to cut down the whole tree to harvest the bananas? that makes me sad!!! But I would loooove to come over there and make you banana bread! I just made some last weekend and it was wonderful. Too long of a swim for my busy schedule - I'd never be able to explain that one to either job! I promise I'll make you some in January, but I'll have to use old mainland bananas. Love you guys and miss you lots!
Aloha Jaynee! Yep, the whole tree comes down although the tree is more like a giant asparagus stalk than a tree!
