Aloha! Well Jackie and I had a few choices to make this morning. We could either mow the yard or go and play at the beach. Now my choice was to get the yard mowed but Jackie over ruled me and said we should go play at the beach. Now if any of you believe that's how it went this morning I want you to stop reading this now and go and check your medications because I'm sure you have them mixed up! It probably says 1 pill every 12 hours not 12 pills every hour! Anyway, I will try and be a bit more truthful now. I sweet talked Jackie into putting the mowing off for another day so we could go to Anini and snorkel. We had such a nice snorkel yesterday and I had hoped that we could top or at least match it today. No such luck! The water was lousy. It was full of bits of sponge and the clarity was abysmal. We looked around hoping to find a spot where it might be a little better but did not have much luck there either. We finally gave up and came home. About the only thing we saw today was a whitemouth eel and the video I took of him was mostly wasted as I had the camera pointed about about 6 inches over his head. All in all not a very good morning. I told Jackie we needed to defrost the refrigerator and wash the car and get all those other little projects done this afternoon in a attempt to get karma back on our side. So far we have done the refrigerator and I'm going to wash the car as soon as I finish posting our blog. The first two photos were taken on Maui at a place called The Seven Sacred Pools. It's near the end of the paved portion of the Hana Hiway. The next two photos were taken in our yard...the one I should have mowed today!

A bad day of snorkeling is your punishment for not mowing the lawn first! Weren't you taught to always do what needs to be done first, then play later? You know, some grass eating animals would solve that whole problem for you! I love these pictures - I almost relax just looking at them. then I jump back to the real world and realize I have to go to work. Love you guys!
Jackie and I retired in October of 2006. Jackie after 15 years as a veterinary technician for Prosser Animal Hospital, Carl after 30 years as a leadman for Kenyon Zero Storage. Our last day on the job was on a Friday and we were on the plane heading to Kauai Saturday.
