Mom and Waterfalls

Aloha from Kauai! Well Jackie and I got back into the ocean this morning. We went to Anini and got a great little snorkel in. The water was nice with very little wind chop. We have found that you normally get the best conditions first thing in the morning as the wind picks up as the day goes along. We had to send our little camera back to Olympus for repairs and snorkeling without it sure feels strange. This morning we came across a neat little crab. He came out into the open and we would have had ample opportunity to get some good shots of him and of course this was the first time we have seen a crab like this one but no camera! We also checked out turtle rock and Mr. Honu was in. He must have felt guilty about being gone on our last visit because he brought a friend along for use to see. As a matter of fact there were three turtles within 20 yards of turtle rock! Just hope we can have as much luck spotting turtles when Judy is here! The picture of mom by herself was taken at Allerton Gardens. It is on the south shore. The picture of Mom, Tommie and Ruby was taken at an overlook of the Wailua River. The picture of the largest waterfall is Wailua Falls and the other one is of 'Opaeka'a Falls.
