Aloha! After our cereal and multiple cups of coffee this morning we decided that today we would show Mom and Dad a little of Hanalei. We checked out the shops in the old school house then crossed the road to Ching Young Village for more shops and a little mid morning snack. Jackie and I split a piece of apple cobbler while Mom and Dad each had a slice of carrot cake. We toured a few more shops then drove down to Hanalei Pier. The water is still a little murky from all the runoff but the mountains were awesome! The rain we have had the last couple of days really has the waterfalls going. Seems like there was a waterfall every where you looked. We stayed at the pier long enough to get hungry again so we headed back to a nice little place we like to eat at called Pandas Kitchen. Over our lunch of sweet and sour pork, orange chicken and chicken and vegetables with fried rice we decided that we would check out the sale at the Princeville Hotel. It is almost over now and they had most of the rooms closed off but we were still able to show Mom and Dad some of the hotel. From there we gave them a driving tour of the residential area of Princeville then it was on to Anini beach as dad was wanting to get his feet wet. The water was so nice and warm that they are talking like they may want to try snorkeling so maybe it will be a beach day tomorrow!
